Akari Kunori

Akari is an Ice fairy. She is the best friend of Rune and Arrow's fiancée. She is the heir of the Kunori Clan, a notable Strong-blood Fairy family. She was a student of the Laguna University for Specialists and Fairies. She becomes the guardian of Eraklyon after she graduated.

1. Appearance

Akari is a warm ivory-skinned girl with black eyes. She has platinum short hair. She has a gentle look but strong personality. She usually wears shorts.

2. Personality

Akari is a loyal, fiery and protective girl. She is always supporting her friends and families. She stepped out to protect Rune when Rune was blamed by classmates. At that time, Akari freeze those classmates' mouths and they had to go to hospital for treatment. She also tried to obey her mother, although her mother was mentally ill.

Akari is also determined and rational. She loves her clan and decides to protect it. Therefore, she turned down the man she loved and engaged with a man she did not love because she had to ensure her descendants are Strong-blooded or Ancestral-blooded.

Akari favored hierarchy and she looked down on the people who has weaker bloodline. She did not want to hang around with Kate as she had weak bloodline.

3. Ability

Akari is a Strong-blooded Ice fairy. She can control ice, cold and snow. She can also lower temperature of a certain distance to freeze her enemies. Since Akari is Strong-blooded, she can summon strong blizzard or low temperature that covers a country. As Akari has ice-based power, if she is in cold area, she can maintain her strength easier.

Akari learnt Air and Earth in Year 2 & 3. She can summon storm and thunder in a fight. She is also good at using gravity and earthquake to distract her enemies.

4. Series

Childhood

Akari was born in Kunori House, a once-notable Strong-blood Fairy family. She lived in Stargarde, where only strong-blooded lived. The king of Eraklyon was frightened of them and sent ‘Burnt One’ to attack them. Although most of the citizens of Stargarde can handle them, it was exhausted and troublesome.

When Akari was little, she was best friend with Rune. They trained and played together. Until one day, the king found out an Ancestral-blooded baby was born in Stargarde. He immediately sent out a lot of ‘Ancient Army’, which is an evolved ‘Burnt One’. Akari's father decided to die for Stargarde, so as to buy time for the others to escape.

Akari's mother was heart-broken as Akari's father was dead. Akari's mother then suffered from emotional illness and trained Akari strictly and heavily. Akari would be starved, punished or beat if she could not meet her mother's standard. Once, Akari was too stressed and did not want to follow her mother's order. Her mother then put her into a Sauna room which nearly killed her as she is an ice fairy. She then realized that she had to be strong and left her mother. If not, she would die. She missed her father and Rune so much as they represent her happy childhood.

Pre-series

When Akari was in high school, she won “The Strongest High School Fairy” for 3 years. Akari also passed the entrance exam with full mark.

Year 1

Akari got into Laguna and shared a dorm suite with Rune, Kate and Mary. She shared a room with Rune. Akari was thrilled to see Rune. After she realized Rune had lost her memory, she told Rune about their past. Rune refused to admit that, which upset Akari. However, in that evening, Rune told Akari that she believed in Akari as she was attacked by the Burnt Ones. Akari worried about Rune and suggested to join the Fight Club to make them stronger.

On the school opening ceremony, Akari gave a speech as she was the top in entrance exam. Akari verified she is a Strong-blooded ice fairy in the Test. Akari started her lessons and was the top in class.

Akari loved to stay with Rune, but she disliked Kate as she was weak and has weaker bloodline. She frequently joined the activities of fight club and trained Rune alone, so as to leave Kate behind.

Before the school picnic, Akari became acquainted with her roommates, Theodore and Nex since they formed a group the picnic.

During an activity of Fighting Club, a troop of Ancient Armies and the Burned Ones attacked Rune and Akari as they went outside the barrier. Teachers and other students saw the troops and were frightened, but they started to fight them. In the battle, Akari protected Rune from an attack so she was hurt badly. Rune used one of the mythological powers, defeated the troop and saved everyone's lives. Rune suffered from Anemia and blacked out. Two girls had to be carried back and received treatment.

Akari, Theodore, Nex and other roommates stood out for Rune when schoolmates and teachers believed that the Ancient Armies and the Burned Ones were summoned by Rune. Akari even freeze some classmates' mouths as they cursed and yelled at Rune. Finally, the classmates had to go to hospital for treatment, resulting in Akari had to be suspended from school for a week.
